A day that had started out gray and drizzly gave way to blue skies and sunshine as Pittsburgh Prime Timers sponsored its third annual picnic in Schenley Park.

A turnout of around 25, including faithful old standbys, new members and those thinking of joining all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the camaraderie, games and outstanding food. The food? Oh yes, delectable appetizers and delicious side dishes competed with perfectly baked and fried chicken for valuable stomach real estate. Even what seemed like a hundred desserts – cakes, cookies, fruit salad, cupcakes, cheesecake, gelatin and more – could not outshine the fabulous, exquisitely grilled cheeseburgers and hot dogs individually cooked to order by grill master extraordinaire Michael C.

The annual picnic is always free of charge; it's PPT's way to extend goodwill to its members and entice new ones to join. We ran a 50/50 raffle, though, to offset some expenses and to make one of our rank sinfully rich. Dave S. this year's lucky winner, graciously donated his half back to PPT.

Somehow during all the chatting, eating and game playing we managed to hold an election for officers and directors-at-large. The following were elected:

President: Mike M.
Vice President: Phil W.
Secretary/Treasurer: Rick S.
Director-at-Large: Bob E.
Director-at-Large: Michael C.
Director-at-Large: Robert F.
