John Rachau, President of Prime Timers of Phoenix and Bill Holderby, Board Member at Large delivered the chapter's donation of canned goods and a check for $100 from Woody's Legacy Funds on Saturday, July 8, 2017, to the Joshua Tree Feeding Program. Joseph Gaxiola, Chairman, accepted the generous donation and gave John and Bill a tour of the facility while explaining how the program works.

With arms outstretched, the goal of Joshua Tree Feeding Program is to provide nourishment to low-income HIV+ residents of Maricopa County in Arizona. They provide balanced meals from their pantry as well as medical and community resources to encourage self-sustainability of their clients in a social, supportive and welcoming environment where privacy, cultural, spiritual, and religious values are respected. One of the great things the program does is to distribute dog and cat food, because their clients would rather give up their own food in order to feed their pets. The program has between 100-120 people requesting assistance weekly.
