When Prime Timers of Central Florida received $4,000 and $2,100 bequests from the estate of Woodrow "Woody" Baldwin earlier this year, members had to decide how they wanted to use the money. While most of the money will be used for the members, part of it was earmarked for doing good.

After months of deliberation, the decision was made by the chapter's Board of Directors to donate $1,000 to metropolitan Orlando agencies that serve the LGBT community. The Victim Service Center of Central Florida which provides services to victims of physical violence or crime received $100. Two agencies which serve LGBT youth, Orlando Youth Alliance and Zebra Coalition, received $300 each. Also receiving $300 was The Center, Orlando's LGBT community center. Prime Timers requested $200 be used for the OWL (Older Wiser Learning) seniors program at The Center.
