Monthly Meeting

Meeting Photo1

Atlanta Prime Timers holds its Monthly Meeting on the first Saturday of each month. Monthly meetings are one of the highlights of our chapter's activities and include a social hour with beverages and snacks, announcements, and a presentation by a guest speaker. Members (and visitors) are invited after the meeting to attend a mixer/social hour at a local smoke-free gay bar, followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant. Visitors are always welcome at any of our First Saturday Monthly Meetings!

Location and Schedule. Our First Saturday Monthly Meetings are held in the Event Room of the Philip Rush Center, located at 1530 DeKalb Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30307. A good landmark to look for is Radial Cafe.  The administrative offices of the Rush Center are located in the same building as the Radial Cafe, however our meeting space is in the building behind the Radial Cafe.  To reach the event space, walk around the building to the right and off the alley behind the Radial Cafe building you'll find our new event facility with the Rush Center and Atlanta Prime Timers signs directing you to our meeting. The schedule for each monthly meeting as as follows:

3:00-3:30 Social Hour, beverages and snacks
3:30-3:40 Anouncements and introduction of guest speaker
3:40-4:30 Guest Speaker and Presentation
4:30-4:45 Raffle and closing announcements

Note that we have a First Saturday monthly meeting each month of the year, with only one (occasional) exception. Some years we choose not to meet on the first Saturday of July depending on that Saturday's proximity to Independence Day. While we do meet in December on the same date and at the same location, our December meeting is a Holiday Party and Luncheon, rather than the usual program meeting held all other months of the year. Guests are welcome at our Holiday Party as well, but all Holiday Party attendees are advised to check with us regarding the starting time of that event because it may vary from our usual starting time of 3:00PM.
